Many people probably think of Ben Affleck as a joke. He has a lot to do with that from his own doings. After winning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay with his writing partner Matt Damon, Affleck starred in a string of horrible movies to the point where no one took him seriously anymore. Then, slowly, he started to make more "important" movies. Better still, he also started directing and proved he possessed the chops to tell a good story....

It's 1979 and the Iranian Revolution has spiraled out of control. The U.S. embassy in Tehran has been completely ambushed and overpowered by a massive mob of Islamic militants. They hold 52 Americans hostage while six escape to the Canadian ambassador's home. With nowhere to go, the CIA does everything they can to come up with a plan to get those stranded Americans home before the people of Iran get to them first....

It’s a story so absurd it must be true. Based on the true story, Argo is a real film about a fake film called Argo.At the height of the Iran Hostage Crisis in 1980 during Jimmy Carter’s Presidency, six Americans were stranded and forced into hiding right in the heart of Iran. The American Embassy had been overtaken by rioting Iranians, upset at the U.S....
